Al Morrell Development is a US military contractor which earned a reputation for providing a rapid response solutions for the US military during the Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003-2011).As a key contractor the company supplied and operated dining facilities, water purification and bottling factories and completed numerous construction projects for the US Military and Coalition Forces.

Work History


      2009-2012               Vice President and General Manager

  • Oversaw the Iraq operation (with in excess of $130 million in annual turnover), across six remote manufacturing sites and multiple warehouse locations.
  • Led 350 managers and staff from over 16 countries


      2005-2009                Project and Operations manager

  • Oversaw the manufacturing operation, ensuring profitability, compliance with strict military quality and safety standards,  and ensured the safety of all staff and contractors.

Highlights

  • Oversaw the successful construction and commissioning of six state-of-the-art bottled water purification plants across war-torn Iraq, ahead of time and on budget. (see videos to the left)
  • Successfully relocated one entire plant from the west of the country to the south at the request of the US Government, on time and ahead of budget.
  • Spearheaded the transition from a US military contractor to a commercial manufacturer and distributor of beverages in Iraq.
  • Succeeded in transitioning the business to Iraqi ownership and handing over the operation fully in September 2012.
