Self Employed - 1999 - 2003In 1999 Paul relocated his family to Port Morseby, Papua New Guinea, to establish a business. importing, wholesaling and retailing highly quality secondhand clothes from Australia. A grading room was established where clothes were graded by brand and quality, selecting the premium product for the retail outlet. The business was a partnership with a local n ational businessmen and once established the business was operated by the local partner while Paul relocated back to NZ. Upon returning to New Zealand Paul purchased and operated a historic hotel in the Hawkes Bay area. The hotel consisted of 20 accommodation rooms, a family restaurant, night club, garden bar, gaming room, and casual bar. The lease and business was on sold. |
